For the English portion of our project we had many long hours of research, combined with arguments and disagreements. My partner and I took on the major topic of school start times. After researching deep into he topic, we came up with three possibilities including switching elementary and secondary times, pushing back just high school and keeping elementary the same, or pushing back both secondary and elementary school start times. We emailed other school districts that had made some sort of change. The two districts we had came into contact with were Radnor School District and State College School District. We talked with their director of communications and transportation as well as multiple principals and even teachers. They shared their opinions about the changes that were made and also gave us some insight on how the students were doing. One of the teachers we talked to was also the middle school varsity football coach. He had shared that the boys didn't seem to get messed up with their practices, yet alone their school work. In the end we concluded the we should push back the start times for both elementary and secondary 30 minutes. We created a new plan and schedule, as well as looked into it financially. The thinking skill we used was reasoning and we achieved that by coming up with our decision and then finding facts to help us back up why we chose that opinion.

Art
For the art part of our project, we created a slide show presentation to show what we learned and what our thoughts and opinions were about this topic. A lot of our information was dealing with sleep studies we found thought out our process of this project. We used reasoning in our art when creating our presentation. We had to make sure that it want boring and lengthy where nobody would want to listen. We also used a lot of orange and black because those are our school colors and the way we organized also effected our reasoning.
